Green is Clean

Dr.'s Stuart Fleischner, Richard Van Bebber and Nicholas Van Bebber used their October 2007 move as an opportunity to improve dentistry and the community. "The health of our community is as important as the health of our patients," said Dr. Fleischner. Sophie, his 8 year old daughter, started off the Think Green attitude of the practice. As a 1st grader last year at Park Elementary School, Sophie and her classmates learned about the three "R's" - Reduce-Reuse-Recycle. The doctors and the dental team decided to do all they could to help the environment be becoming as "green" as possible.

First and foremost, digital radiographics have replaced photochemical wastes, cleaners and lead foils. Removing excess radiation is good for patients and staff. The use of distilled water, non-bleach line cleaners and dry dental vacuums reduce water consumption and help eliminate toxic wastes. Drs. Fleischner and Van Bebber also insist on long-lasting fluorescent light bulbs, rechargeable batteries and hand sanitizers that cut down on water and paper towel usage. According to the center for Disease Control, hand gels kill 99% of germs in 15 seconds. Besides being a paperless office, using computers as much as possible, the office staff uses recycling bins from Earth Angel for aluminum cans and newspapers.

The doctors and staff encourage everyone to come be and check out our "Green Is Clean" office any Monday through Friday. Office hours are M-TH 8:00 - 5:00, and Fri 8:00-2:00. They have convenient access of the Martin Luther King expressway at 307 Carpenter Dam road and always available front door parking and handicap accessibility. The phone number is 501-624-3322 and the website it www.hotspringsdental.com.

New Office Success!

This letter is in regards to the great people of Hot Springs. Our office, Hot Springs National Park Dental Group, has just completed a huge move in location that went off without a hitch! Moving a dental office, with all the rules & regulations, is a very complicated procedure. The company of Hill & Cox Constriction made it all possible. Thanks, sincerely & heart felt, go out to Hill & Cox, their employees, and contractors for their patience and professionalism. This was a first for us and they could not have been more helpful. Hill & Cox are apparently very careful in their selection of outstanding people. It was a great experience in commercial construction for our office.

We would also like thank French Architects, Patterson Dental, Quality Communications Lyn Bennet (decorator extraordinaire), our office staff (the BEST that can be found!), and our spouses for putting up with us for a very long year. Hot Springs is a great place to live & work. We are so proud of our great city and the wonderful people it produces.

Nicholas Van Bebber Joins The Hot Springs National Park Dental Group

A new voice can now be heard saying, "Please open wide!" at 307M Carpenter Dam Road now that Nicholas Van Bebber has joined The Hot Springs National Park Dental Group. This recent honor graduate of The University of Tennessee Health Science Center's College of Dentistry in Memphis has joined his father Dr. Richard Van Bebber and Dr. Fleischner in their practice.

"We could not be more pleased to have Nicholas, or should I say Dr. Van Bebber, join our practice," said Dr. Fleischner. "His outstanding accomplishments in dental school and during his externship are exemplary. He will be a true asset to the practice and a wonderful doctor for his new patients."

Nicholas Van Bebber is a Hot Springs native graduating from Lakeside High School. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He also earned additional experience in Endodontics and Implantology along with performing volunteer service at both St. Jude Children's Hospital and for the Multiple Sclerosis society during his years in dental school. Nicholas is married to the former Alyssa Clark, also a Hot Springs native and Lakeside graduate. They are expecting their first child in March.

"We are not only adding a fine dentist to our practice but we are also bringing a fine young man into our firm," said Dr. Richard Van Bebber, "and that comes from a dentist and a businessman, not just Nicholas' dad."

The Hot Springs National Park Dental Group is now made up of the three Doctors of Dentistry, four Registered Dental Hygienists, four Certified Dental Assistants, two Front Desk Managers, and a Financial Business Coordinator. The Group takes pride in the fact that through their total Internet computer system, their office is now "paperless."

Other dental technological advancements utilized by the practice include the Odyssey Soft Tissue Dental Laser, Digital X-ray that produces no more radiation than that of a microwave oven, and most recently the addition of the Sirona Corporation Cerec Machine that will manufacture all porcelain restorations such as crowns and inlays in one visit which eliminates temporaries in 70-percent of the cases. The Cerec utilizes computer and digital photography technology.

This addition of Nicholas to our practice could not come at a better time." added Dr. Fleischner. "In the next few months we plan to begin construction on a new office at Carpenter Park which is between Malvern Road and the MLK Expressway."

Dr. Richard Van Bebber concluded, "Not only will Nicholas be a major part of our practice, he will also join our office in being a good servant to the community. He has pledged that to both Stuart and me."

The Hot Springs National Park Dental Group was established in 1990. The office and its employees are active as volunteers, officers and/or board members in the Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce, The United Way, Hot Springs National Park Rotary Club, Ouachita Area Council for the Boy Scouts of America, Garland County Chapter of the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life, Fifty For The Future, and The Pocket Theatre. The practice was instrumental in initiating the organization of the Dental Unit of the local Charitable Christian Medical Center where they also volunteer their time and services.
